REALTOR®

Office Information

Agent Bio:

Jennifer was born and raised in one of Canada’s most famous single-industry instant towns. Like Gander, Corner Brook, Goose Bay and other similar communities, her home town, Kitimat BC, was built by some of the world’s most renowned planners and architects who worked together to create instant communities centred around lucrative resource extraction industries and strategic transportation hubs. Every aspect of Jennifer’s home town was designed by a team of city planners, psychologists, scientists, and architects in an attempt to create the perfect community with the goal of making a happy, peaceful, and productive place to live.[1] Growing up in a place architecturally and physically frozen in that moment of time (1952), forever shaped Jennifer’s interest in community planning and architectural design.

Her love of architecture and community planning continued into university and developed further as a young teacher travelling, living and teaching in some of the greatest cities in the world. After a long career as a teacher, then professor, Jennifer took an opportunity to get fully involved in her love of beautiful houses and inspiring communities and became a realtor®.

Through her experience growing up in that isolated northern Canadian town, Jennifer also understands the importance of family and community. Although married into a long-standing Newfoundland and Labrador family, as a “come from away” she has seen how Newfoundlanders and Labradorians still really see and care for people and, because of that, exemplify what community means. Similarly, she understands that homes and neighbourhoods cultivate belonging and security and lay the ground from which our families grow and thrive. Helping people make important decisions when choosing their home is an honour and a responsibility that Jennifer takes on with heart, professionalism, knowledge, and skill.

Jennifer is a City of St. John’s Heritage Restoration Award winner and is involved in different heritage and community development organizations. She has walked across Spain and hiked the length of the East Coast Trail as a fundraiser for Naomi Centre. She cares for all animals and, along with her loveable sheepdog Maribel, is a volunteer with the St. John’s Ambulance Therapy Dog program.

Always up for a challenge, Jennifer works hard to find her clients homes that add peace of mind and happiness to their lives. As an investor, she also knows how to help her clients build financial security through real estate. She ensures her clients are kept well informed about the process of buying or selling their homes, and, as she has done throughout her academic and professional career, when she thinks the job is done, she keeps working. As a result, her work stands apart for its high quality. Jennifer will use her research skills, her knowledge of quality work and materials, her work ethic, and her thoroughness to find you the best, most beautiful, thoughtful home.
